“HARDEST PIT IN THE LITTER”
From personal experience we had the opportunity to work and film “Big Pokey” performing in Temple Tx in 2013 and from that day forward any and all times we meet again “Big Pokey” was always a stand up guy. There is a saying that “the good ones are always the ones we lose” and in this loss, that statement definitely holds weight. “Big Pokey” was and will forever, be known as Humble, kind, compassionate, respectful, and a considerate artist.
This is not only recognized by 3rd Coast Connection, but rings throughout the Rap culture amongst anyone that had an opportunity to interact on a personal level with this gentle giant. His ability to interact with others with the upmost concern is and was the spark that gave him the element of a genuine person, these are but few of the characteristics that solidified “Big Pokey” as the “Hardest Pit in The Litter”.

“Happy Anniversary”
First and foremost, congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Jenkins from 3rd Coast Connection. This high profile union has definitely been a union that is on the hearts and minds of many. Young Jeezy and Jeannie Mai begin their commitment March 27th of 2021, and the goal orientated couple have not slowed down. The power couple begin their New year with the Birth of their daughter baby Monaco. This was announced to Fans of the Snow Man and Jeannie as she took to Instagram “I asked God for a life of love and happiness.”
That happiness results from a commitment the power couple share. Aside from the commitment to each other, they both united status on each others own behalf. Young Jeezy, of course is known for being one of the most influential “Trap” music rappers of our time, Owner and brand ambassador for Naud Congac, and not to mention various other endeavors. Jeannie Mai brings her status from her career as a host and stylist from the makeover show ” How do I Look?” and she has provided her fashion expertise on the talk show the “Real.”
These are but a few accomplishments on Mrs. Jenkins (Jeannie Mai) part, the list goes on with features on “Today”, “Extra TV”, “Entertainment Tonight”, and “Insider”, just to name a few. Additionally, there is Jeannie Mai’s Executive Production project “surviving sex trafficking.” As a result commitment does not began in union, it is joined from various paths. In this union, Young Jeezy and Jeannie Mai Jenkins have come together as committed individuals from two successful paths that desire and are more than willing to commit to each other. This is the essence of a power couple.

Rihanna and Asap Rocky expecting their first child together
The buzz is all around and it ryhmes with love. Thats right Rihanna and Asap Rocky have been a couple since late 2020, and with all the attention shared between each other, they have indulged in the pleasures of love and now it shows. The Multi Platnium artists are now expecting their first child together.
Asap Rocky has been quoted as saying “Rihanna is the Love of my Life” and Rihanna has definetly reciprocated that love to Asap Rocky, considering she will be giving him one of the greatest gifts bestowed upon a man.
Love could not have found them in the last two years in a more than perfect time. The reason being Rihanna has discussed numerous times in the past two years that she is more than ready for mother hood. With that being said Rihanna and Asap’s Love is designed in perfect timing. As the month of Love (Febuary) nears, Rihanna and Asap Rocky will definitely be one of the most highlighted couples during the month of Valentines Day.
Could Valentines Day result in Asap Rocky proposing Marriage to the Diamond singer? Only time will tell, but it would be an awesome time to solidify their Love with the WORLD.
Moreover, as the babies arrival gets closer and closer, it is highly likely we will experience just how intense this bond of Love is between this loving couple. We wish them all the best in love, family, and joy.

Young Dolph Shot and Killed in Memphis Tennessee
Today the music industry was deprived of one of the greatest artist to mold the Hip Hop Scene. Adolph Robert Thornton, Jr. Better known by his fans as Young Dolph departed this realm today. This tragedy resulted from the hands, according to reporters, of numerous shooters. Young Dolph began his rap career in 2006 and by 2016 he ventured out under his very own label ( P.R.E.) Paper Work Empire.
Most recently, Young Dolph signed numerous artist to his lndependent label. Young Dolph is credited with a discography of written works that he was responsible for. Additionally, Young Dolph worked with numerous artist throughout the industry. From 2 Chainez, Gucci Mane, Peewee Longway, Slim Thug, and Paul Wall, just to name a few. The hip hop industry has taken many losses throughout the last decade. from every major city fans have mourned the loss of their favorite artist. The loss of Young Dolph has reopened old wounds for many and his death continues to illustrate how cold this world continues to be.

“Travis Scott”s Astroworld Event results in tragedy”
On Friday November 5th, 2021 Travis Scott kicked off his third annual Astroworld event. This event highlighted his live performance for the city of Houston and all the Travis Scott fans that attended. However, this lively event turned into a tragic scenario. That scenario left 8 dead as of the latest report and over a dozen injured. This loss is a great loss for the Family memebers that are grieving for their loss of loved ones, the city of Houston, as well as the Houston Hip Hop Community.
As Travis Scott took the stage the crowd rushed and compressed torwards the stage, this resulted in many concert goers becoming trampled under the mass of attendies. Concert goers were subject to being trampled to death, about a dozen suffered cardiac arrest, as well as physical injuries. As a result, of this tragedy Travis Scott’s Astroworld event which is sponsored in part by Live Nation has been canceled for the duration of the weekend of November 5th, 2021.
Moreover, Travis Scott took to twitter with the following “I’m absolutely devastated by what took place last night,” he said in a statement on twitter on Saturday. “My prayers go out to the families and all those impacted by what happened at Astroworld Festival. Houston PD has my total support as they continue to look into the tragic loss of life. I am committed to working together with the Houston community to heal and support the families in need. Thank you to Houston PD, Fire Department and NRG Park for their immediate response and support. Love You All.”
Further investigation will be conducted as the city of Houston moves further in finding the root cause of this tragedy. At this time our hearts go out to the families that lost loved ones, those who suffered injury, and prayers to Travis Scott during this time as he deals with the pain of his beloved fans.

Drake releases Certified Lover Boy:
Drake’s highly anticipated studio album “Certified Lover Boy”, has finally hit the ear canals of his patient fans. Released on Sept. 3rd 2021. For nine months, die hard fans have awaited patiently and labor day weekend could not have been a better time to celebrate the birth of this release. The studio album consists of 21 compositions with artist features ranging from Lil Baby, Travis Scott, Future, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, and many more.
For (90 min.) an hour and a half, fans experience some of the best engineered and produced songs by Drake and featured artist. Of course this is the opinion of many. There is also, another side to this popular opinion, however, this is not the place for it. As for production the song titled “TSU” hits close to home for Houston Texas. Not only does the title high light the 3rd Ward University, but it also, credits Houston’s very own “OG Ron C” (Swisha House) as an accredited producer.
As a result, of this studio album what else can fans anticipate? Well for one their direct appreciation of this project will definitely propel the project into platinum status many times over. With this in mind Drake will remain the best selling artist of present time.

Big Sean drops music video for Deep Reverence Ft. Nipsey Hussle
An amazing music video paying deep reverence to Nipsey Hussle. The visual composition has Nipsey Hussle’s finger print all over it. Filmed in the inner parts of Los Angeles California, with various land marks that have been marked with the image of the late great Nipsey. To top it off Snoop Dog has a cameo in this video. At first viewing, and considering this is a new visual your almost anticipating Snoop Dog to drop his verse, however, this was not the case. Nevertheless, will Snoop Dog be on the remix for Deep Reverence? Only time will tell.

This week Paul Wall took to social media due to trends taking place. On his IG account @paulwallbaby. He first and foremost began by paying respect to Mac Miller and a shout out to Eminem. As he wrapped his reply up, Paul Wall shared with everyone that Lil KeKe @donke713 was the rapper that he would want to sound or try to sound like. Paul Wall is one of the most down to earth artist that anyone could ever meet and by no means is it wrong to mention your influences. Good or bad being human is accepting your likes and dislikes and Paul Wall is a master at that. Aside from the busy flow on social media Paul Wall has recently experienced, Paul Wall prepares to celebrate his 40th Birthday today. Well Paul Wall, may all your Birthday wishes come true and keep crushing that microphone with the rhymes you have blessed us all with for years.
